The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the National Development and Reform Commission jointly issued the Notice on Expanding and Upgrading the Three-Year Action Plan for Information Consumption (2018-2020) (hereinafter referred to as the “Notice”). Among them, the notice requires that by 2020, the scale of information consumption will reach 6 trillion yuan, with an average annual growth rate of 11% or more; the driving role of information technology in the consumption field will be significantly enhanced, driving the output of related fields to reach 15 trillion yuan.
It is worth mentioning that the notice also pointed out that 'by 2020, 98% of administrative villages will achieve fiber access and 4G network coverage, speed up the development of shortcomings, and release the network to speed up the fee reduction bonus.' Specific actions include: deepening the development of intelligent networked vehicles, organizing “business-to-cloud” actions, and promoting the speeding up of information infrastructure.
